So while setting up, my new blog. I came across the motivation letter that I wrote, that accompanied all my applications to Med-School during this year. Looking back to 2016, it has been a big year. A year filled with preparation and character building.

Effort to gain entrance:
Looking back to 2016; I applied to 8 Medical Universities. 7 in South Africa, and one in Namibië. The institutions I applied to included, University of Pretoria, University of Kwazulunatal, University of Limpopo, University of Witwatersrand (Graduate Entry Medical Entrance Program), Limpopo University, University of Cape Town, University of Stellenbosch, and University of Namibië. I was rejected by 7 of these institutions. I had become weary after applying 6 years in a row.
Thankfully and humbly I gained entrance to Stellenbosch University!!
The day that I went for my Medical Entrance interview, I walked around on campus and was awe struck by my surroundings. I really loved the faculty, and could see myself spending the next six years of my life there. The quaint coffee shop at the entrance of the faculty, with the delicious aroma of coffee, was enough to inspire anyone!! I thought, this is where I ought to be.
I fumbled about on campus in search of the MRI machine (very geeky of me, but I am interested in the sphere where Medicine and Technology meet up). This was loads of fun, and upon finding the MRI machine, I learnt that the faculty is in possession of a Functional MRI! Wow, wow, wow!!The street names of the medical campus, was very entertaining indeed, from Spinal Street, to Gastointestinal tract, to Brain ave. This was the place to be!!
It is really humbling to look back at this letter and to see how far I have come. To 2017, here I come!!
Till next time
